Contrast cord as the design
Setting the cord against the body colour rather than matching it turns a plain drawstring into a considered object, and it does so without adding a print, a foil or a label — which means no decoration setup cost.
It is the cheapest way to make a pouch look designed, and for programmes at smaller volumes where screen or die setup is hard to justify, it is often the most effective single specification decision available.
Approving two colours at once
Contrast styles are approved as a pair, not as two separate colours. A cord that reads well against a swatch can vanish against the finished pouch or fight it, and that only becomes visible on a made sample.
Send both references and approve them together on one physical sample, under the lighting the product will sell in.
