What to Know Before You Specify

Microfiber and suede-feel fabric are specified for one reason above all others: the face is low-lint and friction-free, so it will not catch on a prong setting, scratch a polished surface or leave fibres behind. That is why it is the standard lining and pouch fabric for fine jewelry, eyewear and small electronics.

The range covers drawstring and snap-close constructions in a wide colour set. Because the fabric is dense and smooth, it holds foil stamping and debossing more crisply than a pile fabric does — fine logo detail that would sink into velvet stays readable here.

Surface contact first

This fabric is chosen for what it touches. If the pouch holds polished metal, stones or lenses, say so — it drives the fabric weight and the lining decision.

Crisp decoration

Dense microfiber holds fine detail better than pile fabrics. If your mark has small type or thin strokes, this range is usually the safer carrier for it.

Colour on a swatch

Screen colour is not production colour. Approve the shade against a physical swatch under the lighting the product will actually sell in.

Common Questions

Is microfiber the same as suede?

The fabric used here is a high-density microfiber with a suede-like hand — it is a synthetic, not animal suede. It is chosen for being low-lint and friction-free against polished surfaces, which is what matters for jewelry and eyewear.

Why choose microfiber over velvet?

Velvet is a pile fabric with more depth of colour but it can shed and can catch on fine settings, and very fine logo detail sinks into the pile. Microfiber has a smoother, denser face — better where the fabric is in constant contact with the piece, and better for crisp small-detail branding.

Can it be used as a lining as well as a pouch?

Yes — the same fabric is used to line rigid boxes and inserts for the same reason it is used for pouches. Say what the piece is if you want the pouch and the box interior specified together.
