Specified from the device, not the screen size

A laptop sleeve is a fit problem first. Specify from the real measured dimensions of the device — including its thickness and any case it stays in — rather than from a nominal screen size, which is the most common reason a first sample is rejected on this construction.

If the sleeve has to cover more than one device in a range, send the largest and smallest so the internal dimensions are set against both.

Protection versus presentation

Decide which this sleeve is. A presentational sleeve keeps a device dust-free and looks considered; a protective one has to absorb impact, which means padding and a different construction entirely.

State the requirement in the inquiry, then confirm it on a physical sample with the actual device inside — protection is not something a specification sheet demonstrates.

Will the flap still lie flat when the pouch is full?

This is the single most common reason an envelope pouch sample gets rejected. Flap depth is specified from packed thickness, not from the empty pouch — so send the packed dimensions of the contents and check the sample with the product inside.

Snap or plain flap?

A plain flap presents cleaner and is lower cost. A snap closes positively and stays closed, which matters if the pouch will be carried loose in a bag. Decide from how the pouch travels after it leaves the counter.

Can envelope pouches be used for shipping?

They sit flatter than drawstring pouches, which helps, but a flap does not contain contents the way a zip does. If the pouch is the only thing holding the product through a courier network, consider a snap or a protective outer.

What sizes can you make?

Sizes are specified per project from the packed contents plus the clearance the flap needs. Send width, height and thickness of what goes inside and the pattern is worked out from those.

What are your payment terms and shipping options?

Standard terms are 30% deposit by T/T with the balance before shipment. Alibaba Trade Assurance orders are welcome and PayPal is accepted for sample payments. Shipping is FOB Shenzhen, EXW, express door-to-door for smaller orders, or sea freight for bulk programs.
